ABOUT DADS GROUP

In 2019 as part of a research project with Warwick University, we (a small group of dads with disabled children) participated to share our views and created some videos about our experiences. Since then we have got to know one another a bit and have decided to start-up a social group in Leamington. This is a social opportunity for dads to talk (or not!), about anything or nothing. Just a chance to get out for a few hours.

The social is for all father figures and male carers of a disabled person who live in or near Coventry and Warwickshire. New faces are welcome.

When? Friday evening 7-9pm every 2 months. Our next meeting dates are:

  • Friday 3rd November

2024:

Soft and alcoholic drinks can be purchased from the bar. We usually bring along a few snacks.

or you can park at Court Street car park

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I JOIN A MEETING FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Email us at: dadsocialcov@gmail.com to let us know you're planning to attend the next meeting and we will arrange for one of the dads  to meet you on the door.

WHO ATTENDS THE SOCIAL?

At the moment we are a small group of dads who have set-up the group and have attended the first few socials. We are looking to connect with more dads. We are also assisted by Emma Langley from Warwick University who was involved in the original dads project in 2019 and is helping us to set-up this social group until it becomes established.
